How small was the budget for this commercial?
It's not Prelinger's fault... I would rather have him put as much on this site as he can, then I can determine what I want to see.
However, you gotta wonder why the ad agency thought this would possibly sell anything. Like, the first glass image you see is a beer glass, which makes me think, "Why is this dumbass pouring wine in a beer glass?" I guess I don't get why they're doing this.
i'm giving the commercial itself a 2.

Why Rick Prelinger preserved this garbage, I don't know. He should of saved something else instead. It's a shame the almost nobody has download the PD episodes of "Studio One", While garbage commercials like this have been downloaded over 1000 times. Thanks Rick!

An ad that shows an array of different glasses being filled one after the other with Alexis Lichine wine. The announcer invites the viewer to have a glass of Alexis Lichine when they want to "relax with a drink." There are no people in this commercial; all we see are different kinds of glassware being filled with alcohol. It conjures up images of assorted solitary drinkers, each nursing their lone glasses of wine. A desolate ad, in the end.

The tag line, 'Life without Wine is no life at all' pretty much says it all. I can imagine this commercial would have seriously caused some controversy as it shows that this wine can be drunk in replacement of anything. Beer, Martinis, shooters.. and although it's not shown, heck maybe even water and milk. Or maybe that's just my sick mind talking... A MUST SEE on this site!
Standard, unremarkable early 60s wine commercial. It does have a good shot of a cork coming out of a bottle with a loud pop, if you're looking for footage of that.
